Leaves should be kept in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight. Lighter tea (green and white teas) should be consumer sooner than darker teas. There is one exception. Pu-Erh tea improves over time so long as you make sure that it is kept in a cool, dry place and out of direct sunlight.
