Drinking pu-erh tea is purported to aid in digestion and to reduce blood cholesterol and lipid levels. It is also widely believed in Chinese cultures that it counteracts the unpleasant effects of heavy alcohol consumption. In traditional Chinese medicine, the tea is believed to invigorate the spleen and inhibit "dampness." In the stomach, it is believed to reduce heat and "descends qi".
Lately the demand for pu erh has sky-rocketed due to increase consumption in China. Its medicinal properties along with it peculiar taste has become a very trendy option to tea drinkers. This pu erh has amango passion fruit taste and make a dark, and bold cup of tea.
Brewing Instructions: : 1 tsp, 4-5 min, 100 °C
Did you know... Unlike other teas that should ideally be consumed shortly after production, pu-erh can be drunk immediately or aged for many years. As such, pu-erh teas are often now classified by year and region of production much like wine vintages.
