Lapacho a.k.a. Pau D'Arco is the perfect tea to relax and unwind after a stressful day at work. This tea has a lemony flavour and can be served both hot or cold.
Brewing Instructions: : 1 tsp, 4-5 min, 100 °C
Did you know... Lapacho tea is made from the inner bark of the Tabeuia avallanedoe or Lapacho tree. The trees suffer no harm when their bark is peeled off as the bark grows back again relatively quickly. The tree is native to the tropical rain forests between Mexico and Argentina where it can live for up to 700 years.
Preparation:
One tablespoon of Lapacho is adequate for a liter of tea. The tea should boil in water for about 5 minutes under medium heat. After boiling, the tea should be left to cool for about 20 minutes before straining. Add sugar or honey as desired.
